La Barcaccia
After the famous Barcaccia Fountain in Piazza di Spagna had been damaged by vandals in 2015, Angela Mannaerts - President of DIBA, contributed with the DIBA predecessor association NRBC and other Dutch organisations in Italy and in the Netherlands, to restore two important fountains of the City of Rome, including the Bee Fountain, created by G.L. Bernini in 1644.
The works were completed with funds gathered by six prominent members of the Dutch community in Rome, including the Dutch/Italian association of Rome, headed by its President Claudia de Regt, currently Treasurer of DIBA, and with a contribution in kind made by the Dutch construction group Janssen De Jong.
