The theme of well-attended the evening, co-hosted by DIBA President Angela Mannaerts and Vice President Godelieve Cooymans at TSH Lavagnini was Tuscany hospitality.
Besides the physical presence of DIBA members from Tuscany, Lazio and Emilia Romagna, many other members located in various regions of Italy and in The Netherlands participated online.
Filippo Giabbani, an Executive of the Tuscan Region who inter alia co-heads Invest in Tuscany, the regional office for economic promotion of Tuscany, kicked off the event at TSH Lavagnini’s Auditorium with a very informative and clear presentation about the office’s tasks to attract investments and to support potential and existing investors. Filippo then described the economic characteristics and key figures of Tuscany, what makes Tuscany such an attractive state to invest in and the impressive figure of investments in the hospitality sector.
Elena Cattani, Architectural Engineer and Head Real Estate Development Italy of TSH, followed with an inspiring presentation about TSH, its concept and the recent change of its full name from The Student Hotel into The Social Hub. She continued her speech with an illustration of the Belfiore project, an impressive project under construction in Florence, which will even be larger than TSH Lavagnini and will also include a large car park, supermarket, and an enormous roof top, not only be accessible for the own guests but also open to the public.
After having asked various questions to the two speakers and listened to Pecha Kucha presentations of several DIBA Members and their guests, the evening continued at TSH Lavagnini’s rooftop bar where the participants enjoyed good company and delicious food and drinks from the wonderful terrace with pool and great views on Florence.
We wish to thank Filippo Giabbani and Elena Cattani very much for their marvelous presentations and Virginia Carraro of TSH for ensuring that we had a great evening from the beginning to the end. We count the days until completion of TSH Belfiore, not only because it is an amazing project but also for a future DIBA event in Florence!
